Simon Cowell is a judge, businessman, A&R director, talent manager, television producer, and entrepreneur in English television music and talent show. He has judged Pop Idol, The X Factor and the Got Talent of Britain on the British TV talent competition series, and the American TV talent contest shows American Idol, The X Factor, and America’s Got Talent.
Cowell attended Radlett Preparatory School and Dover College, which was independent. His father who was an executive at EMI Music Publishing, was able to get him a job in the mail room.
His mother, Julie Brett (1925–2015), was a ballet dancer and socialite, and his father, Eric Selig Phillip Cowell (1918–1999), was an estate agent, property developer, and music industry executive. He has a younger brother, Nicholas; three half-brothers, John, Tony, and Michael; and a half-sister, June.
His full name is Simon Phillip Cowell. Cowell dated English presenter Terri Seymour from 2002 to 2008. Cowell was engaged to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy from 2010 to 2011.
In 2013, Cowell allegedly began dating an American woman named Lauren Silverman. They had a son named Eric on February 14, 2014.
