Serena Williams is an American professional tennis player and former world No. 1. She has won 23 significant titles for singles, mostly from any Open Era man or woman. The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranked her world No. 1 in singles between 2002 and 2017 on eight distinct occasions.
She holds the most Grand Slam titles combined among active players in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
Williams has won an all-time record on the hard court of 13 Grand Slam singles titles. She has also won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles, all with her sister Venus, and in the Grand Slam doubles finals, the pair is unbeaten.
When the kids were young, the family moved to Compton, California, where Williams began playing tennis at the age of four.
Her parents name is Oracene Price and Richard Williams. She is the youngest of Price’s five daughters: half-sisters Yetunde, Lyndrea,Isha and older sister Venus. She also has at least seven half-siblings from her father.
Her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. was born on September 1, 2017. She had a cesarean-section delivery due to complications. Williams is married to Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit. They got married in New Orleans on November 16, 2017.
