Olivia Newton-John is an English-Australian singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, dancer, and activist. She is a four-time winner of the Grammy award who has accumulated five number one and ten other top ten Billboard Hot 100 singles, and two number-one Billboard 200 solo albums.
Eleven of her singles (including two platinum albums) and fourteen of her albums (including two platinum and four double platinum albums) were RIAA Gold certified. Newton-John has been an environmental and animal rights activist of many years.
She attended grammar school in Christ Church and then high school in University near Ormond College.
Her parents are Brinley Newton-John (1914–1992) and Irene Helene (1914–2003). Newton-John is the youngest of three children, following brother Hugh (1940–2019) a doctor, and sister Rona (1943–2013) an actress who was married to Grease co-star Jeff Conaway from 1980 until their divorce in 1985.
Newton-John has been married twice. She married her long-time boyfriend, actor Matt Lattanzi, in December 1984 but divorced in 1995. Their daughter, Chloe Rose, was born in January 1986.
In June 2008, Newton-John married John Easterling, founder and president of the Amazon Herb Company.
