Hilary Duff is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and author who came to fame as the title character on the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire.
Lizzie McGuire premiered on January 12, 2001, and became a ratings hit, with an estimated 2.3 million viewers per episode. Duff quickly became labeled as a teen idol and household name, particularly within the show’s pre-teen adolescent target demographic.
Duff’s mother, Susan Colleen Duff is a film producer and her manager. Her father’s name is Robert Erhard “Bob” Duff, a partner and owner of a chain of convenience stores with his father, John B. Duff, resides at the family home in Houston to maintain the family’s business.
In 2001, she dated Aaron Carter. In July 2004, she was in a relationship with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden but they broke up in November 2006.
Duff was engaged with Canadian NHL player Mike Comrie in February 2010 and they got married last August 14, 2010. She announced her pregnancy in 2011, and gave birth to a son, Luca Cruz Comrie, in March 2012. In February 2015, Duff filed for divorce from Comrie and was finalized last 2016.
Duff dated personal trainer Jason Walsh from August 2015 until November 2016.
She has been in a relationship with Matthew Koma since January 2017. They announced she was pregnant with their first child together, a girl on June 8, 2018. Duff and Koma then became engaged in May 2019.
